Original Art Gifts $5,000 and Over: 2026 Holiday Gift Guide
This guide features 15 original paintings and mixed media works priced from $5,200 to $30,000, all available at Galaray House, a contemporary art gallery in Boston’s SoWa Arts District. At this level, a purchase is a centerpiece: a wedding or anniversary gift, a retirement, a new home, a corporate lobby, or the work a collection grows around. The selection includes a view of Boston from above, an expansive sky, monumental florals, a Formula 1 racing scene, and gold-leaf abstracts, in sizes from 25 x 19 to 48 x 110 inches.
Because works at this level are one of a kind and often large, we’re glad to talk through size, placement, and delivery before you decide. Our team can help you match a piece to the recipient’s taste and space, and our art advisory service can help with larger projects. If you’d rather spend less, see our original art $5,000 and under, $1,000 and under, or $500 and under.

How to Choose Original Art as a Gift
At this scale, plan around the wall first. Measure the space, and keep in mind that the works here run from 25 x 19 to 48 x 110 inches, so some need a full wall, a double-height entry, or a spot over a sofa or mantel. Notice the colors in the room, and decide whether the painting should pick them up or stand apart. If you’re buying for a couple or a household, choose something everyone will be glad to live with. For a work this size, plan for hanging as well as delivery. If you’re unsure, tell us about the person and the space, and we’ll help you narrow the list.
